The Montana Mountain Cabin vacation rental is nestled between Glacier National Park and the Great Bear Wilderness, right smack in the middle of miles of trails in the Flathead National Forest, Bob Marshall Wilderness Complex and Glacier National Park. The cabin is on a 100-acre working outfitter property a quarter mile off US Hwy 2.
It is 19 miles from East Glacier Park, Montana where the Plains meet the Mountains, where there are several restaurants, shopping and golf. Boat access to the Middle Fork of the Flathead River is eight miles. The West Glacier entrance to Glacier National Park is 40 miles with shopping, golfing, guided rafting, and raft rentals. Whitefish is 1-1/2 hours away with lots of shopping, dining and a world class downhill ski mountain and summer resort. There is a weekly summer rodeo in Columbia Falls, 60 miles.
The main cabin has two bedrooms and one bathroom sleeping up to nine guests. The optional extra sleeping cabin which accommodates four additional guests can be added as a third bedroom.
The main cabin has a large covered porch with propane BBQ and picnic tables. There is one main room upstairs with furnished kitchen, living room with wood stove, and bath with shower. Downstairs has a bunk room with propane stove and a private bedroom. Satellite TV and internet are available. There are two sets of steps, up to the deck and cabin entrance, and down to the basement. The closest laundromat is one mile (summer) and eight miles (winter).
The property offers something for everyone, with trails nearby for close-to-home outings and views into Glacier National Park and the Great Bear Wilderness. There is fishing right on the property which includes a creek and beaver pond. The cabin is within walking distance to the Snow Slip Cafe & Bar and several trailheads for hiking, horseback riding or mountain biking. Pets are welcome. A chain link dog pen is available as well as pens for horses and a large arena for riding.
It is not uncommon to view deer, elk, moose, black and grizzly bears, beavers, otters, coyotes, wolves, eagles, hawks and hummingbirds.
The property is a real winter wonderland. This cabin is one of the last places offering snowmobiling, cross country skiing and snowshoeing in and out from the front door. The area has miles and miles of ungroomed snowmobile trails and roads nearby, and groomed cross country trails and rentals (ski/snowshoe) are just 9 miles from the cabin. For the hard core there is a mountain in the backyard that provides awesome downhill after snowshoeing up.
The base price of $160 per night is for up to five guests in the main cabin; $20 per person per night for extra guests. Or include the extra sleeping cabin for $55 per night for four extra beds. Minimum three night stay.

Just did a 3 day pack trip and then rented their cabin for 5 days … Having the cabin to go explore the Bob Marshall Wilderness and Glacier Park was icing on the cake. It was more than reasonably priced and very convenient. Would definently go back.Amy H.
