Horseback trail riding in Montana with Snowy Springs Outfitters is the ultimate wilderness adventure. Our Day Rides are personalized just for you, from mountain top to wooded river trail.
Just a Taste – $100 per person – 11am or 2pm
(approximately 1.5 – 2 hours; minimum age 6)
If you have time limitations or if you’re just not sure about horseback riding, Just a Taste offers a trail ride around the grounds at Base Camp. Your horse guides you through forests and across creeks, including a visit to the tunnel built by the Great Northern Railroad connecting Base Camp and Glacier National Park. Our arena is available to practice your horseback riding skills.
Half Day Horseback Ride – $250 per person – 10am
(approximately 4 hours; minimum age 6)
For more time in the saddle and a chance to ride into the Wilderness, Half Day trail rides take you further from Base Camp. The horseback ride may include riding to the top of Devil’s Hump or perhaps meandering along the Middle Fork of the Flathead River, both within the Great Bear Wilderness.

Full Day Horseback Ride – $400 per person – 9am
(approximately 8 hours; minimum age 6)
Make a full day of your horseback adventure! Full Day trail rides take you deeper into the Great Bear Wilderness or along the Rocky Mountain Front on the East side of the Rocky Mountains, where the mountains meet the prairie. Bring your own lunch to enjoy along the way. With advance notice, a bit of fishing for Montana’s illusive wild trout can be included with your trip.
